Garage door repair software that keeps up with a same day callout.
A spring lets go and the car is stuck in the garage. You take the call, you go, you fix it that afternoon. Foldrule holds the request, the quote, the photos and the invoice on one job, so none of it waits for you to get back to the office.
The work is a broken spring and a customer who is already late.
Most of the week is failures, not installs. A torsion spring, a snapped cable, a door off track, an opener that finally quit. The call comes in the morning and the customer wants it done before dinner, and the fix is usually riding on the truck already. What you cannot carry is a paper ticket that turns into an invoice three days later.
- Same day callouts squeezed between booked installs
- Springs, rollers, cables and openers stocked on the truck
- A second visit when a panel has to be ordered
- Payment collected in the driveway, before the next stop
Price it in the driveway, get paid there
Twenty to seven, and the door came down on a snapped spring with the minivan still inside. She starts a shift at eight, so she wants a truck in the driveway now and she will pay today, as long as she hears the number before you climb the ladder. That conversation happens on the concrete, her in a coat over pajamas and you with a phone in your hand, and it is the moment garage door repair software is for. Say a figure from memory and it may not match what your other tech charged on the same street last month, and neighbors do talk.
In Foldrule the price comes off your own list of items on the phone, the same list every tech on call uses. Payment happens before the truck backs out. Nobody carries a card reader for it: she opens the invoice on her own phone and pays by card through your Stripe account, or hands you a check you record right there.
Quote the repair at the door, with the choice spelled out.
One spring or the pair. Repair the opener or replace it. Both go on one quote as options, each with its own price, and the customer picks the one they want. They approve it on their phone in the portal and sign, so the yes is on the record before you open a box.
- Options priced side by side on one quote
- Approval and signature in the customer portal
- A deposit asked for when a door has to be ordered
- Your own items and prices, reused on the next quote
Photos of what came out and what went in.
Shoot the broken spring, the bent track and the finished door from the phone. Every photo lands on the job with the date on it. You decide photo by photo what the customer sees, so the rough diagnostic shot stays on your side and the clean one goes out with the invoice.
- Photos taken in the field, tied to the job and the property
- Per photo control of what the customer sees
- Job sheets and photos work with no signal in a metal garage
- Everything syncs when the phone finds bars again
Invoice from the driveway and take the payment there.
The job sheet writes the invoice: parts, labor and the sales tax rate you set on that property. Send it before you pull out, or hand the phone over and take a card. Cash, check, Zelle, Venmo and e-Transfer get recorded against the same balance, so the job closes once.
- Card and bank transfer through your own Stripe account
- Cash, check, Zelle, Venmo and Interac e-Transfer recorded by hand
- Sales tax from the service address on the property
- Deposits and overpayments held as client credit
The property accounts stay straight.
A property manager with nine buildings is one client with nine properties. Each address has its own tax rate, its own contact and its own history of doors you have worked on. When they call about the door at the loading dock, you can see what you put in it last year.
- One client, many properties and contacts
- Job and photo history per address
- Invoices to the office, work recorded at the site
- Contacts who get the appointment text at each building

Garage door questions.
What shops ask before they move off paper.
Does Foldrule come with a garage door price book?
No. Foldrule seeds a price book for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and handyman work only. For garage doors you build your own catalog of items and prices, and we move your current list across for you at no charge when you switch.
Can I drop a same day callout between booked installs?
Yes. A job holds one visit or several, and you place each visit on the schedule where it fits. Whoever is assigned sees the change on the mobile app.
What happens when a panel has to be ordered?
Keep the job open and add a second visit for the day the part lands. The quote, the photos and the notes stay on the same job, and you can invoice a deposit now and the balance when the door is finished.
Does the mobile app work inside a garage with no signal?
Yes. Job sheets, checklists and photos keep working offline in the field app, and everything syncs once the phone has a connection again.
Can I take a card in the driveway?
Yes. Card and bank transfer run through your own Stripe account, so the money lands in your bank rather than ours. Cash, check, Zelle, Venmo and e-Transfer you record by hand, and they show on the same invoice balance.
Do you work in Canada?
Yes. Canadian tax rates live on the property the same way US rates do, invoices come out in Canadian dollars, and Interac e-Transfer is a rail you can record against an invoice.
Have it running before the cold snap fills your voicemail.
Foldrule is pre-launch. Ask for early access, tell us what you run today, and we bring your client list, your items and your open jobs across when it opens.
