Reports a trades owner actually opens.
What came in, what is still owed, which quotes are sitting unanswered, and a sales tax summary by rate and month. Counted in your time zone and written in your country’s format.
Home is a list of what needs doing
The first screen is a short list, in order, of the things waiting on you. Requests that have sat for a day. Quotes where the client asked for changes. Jobs finished and not invoiced. Visits tomorrow with nobody assigned. Each row is a count with a verb, and opening it takes you to that list already filtered. Rows with a count of zero are not there at all.
- Collected this month, outstanding, and overdue
- Requests sitting longer than a day
- Jobs finished and waiting to be invoiced
- Tomorrow’s visits with no name on them
Money collected and money outstanding
Every payment lands in one list: the date, the client, the amount, the rail it came in on, and which invoice it paid. Card and bank payments show the Stripe fee and what actually reached your account. Group the list by payout and a single deposit in your bank opens up into the invoices it came from, which is the part that usually costs an evening.
- Card, bank transfer, cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, e-Transfer
- Fee and net on every card payment
- A bank deposit matched to the invoices inside it
- Filter by rail, client, status or who recorded it
Quotes waiting and work that is slipping
A quote nobody followed up on is work you already paid to win. Home counts them so you do not have to remember. Sent and unanswered. Changes requested by the client. Approved but the deposit has not landed. Expired in the last two weeks. Overdue invoices get their own row with the total beside it.
- Quotes sent and not answered yet
- Changes requested by the client
- Approved, deposit not paid
- Invoices overdue, with the total
A sales tax summary your accountant can file from
One table, one row per tax rate, for the period you pick: taxable sales, tax collected and the number of invoices. Accrual counts invoices by the date they were issued, cash counts payments by the date the money arrived, and you choose which. Only sent invoices count, and quotes never appear. Export the table, or take the whole accountant pack for the quarter in one file.
- By rate and by period, in your business time zone
- Accrual or cash basis, your choice
- CSV and PDF, down to one line per invoice per rate
- QuickBooks Online sync for the day to day

Questions about reports and exports
What ships at launch, how the numbers are counted, and what your accountant gets.
Which reports are in at launch?
The needs action home with its money tiles, the sales tax summary, the payments list with payout grouping, and the accountant pack export. More reports follow after launch.
Can my accountant get everything in one go?
Yes. Pick a date range and the accountant pack builds one file holding invoices, payments, the tax summary, the credit ledger and every invoice and receipt PDF for that range. If they work in QuickBooks Online, the sync covers the day to day.
Cash basis or accrual?
Both. The tax summary starts on accrual, counting invoices by the date they were issued. Switch it to cash and it counts payments by the date the money arrived, with each payment’s share of the tax worked out from the invoice it paid.
What counts as this month?
Your business time zone decides. Today, this month and last quarter are all worked out in the zone you set up, so a payment taken at nine at night in Vancouver does not land in tomorrow.
Can a worker see the money?
No. A worker’s home screen is today’s visits and nothing else. Reports, payments and exports belong to the owner and the admins, and even prices on a job stay hidden until the owner turns them on.
How current are the numbers?
Live. The counts are worked out when the screen loads and refresh about once a minute while you are looking at them, so nothing you see is a snapshot from last night.
